Vote for Michael J. Wozniak for Governor
of the State of California.
Fellow California Citizens,
There will be a special election
to recall
Governor Gray Davis on Tuesday,
October 7,
2003. I urge you to vote in this
historic
election, and if you are currently
not registered
to vote I hope you will soon
register with
your county registrar of voters
so that you
will be able to participate in
the electoral
process.
The special election will decide four things:
The first is whether or not to recall our
current Governor, Gray Davis. I urge you to vote YES on the recall.
The second is to choose a candidate to fulfill
the remainder of the Governor's
current term
of office. I ask that you please
take the
time to locate my name on your
ballot and
give serious consideration on
how this great
State has been put into financial
ruin by
career politicians and their
"yes men".
Think about our future and how
we can best
send a signal to Sacramento that
we have
had enough "backroom deals"
and
sell-outs to special interest
money. This
is a grassroots campaign. Without
your support,
we cannot implement changes to
get our state
back on track.
VOTE MICHAEL J. WOZNIAK FOR GOVERNOR
The third is Proposition 53, a Constitutional
Amendment blindly dedicating
billions of
dollars to unspecified infrastucture
projects
(excluding schools and community
colleges).
This proposition would direct
$850 million
in funds to unknown projects
in 2006-07..
that is money we don't have and
it is going
toward.. well, we just don't
know! Prop 53
is literally a blank check we
cannot afford
to sign! I urge you to vote NO on Prop 53.
The fourth is Proposition 54, Ward Connerly's
"Racial Privacy" initiative
[Recent News Story]. I am strongly in favor of this initiative
as it would eliminate racial preferences,
which I feel are a hindrance to building
a truly "color-blind" society.
It should be everyone's goal to remove racial
bias. I feel this initiative would be a huge
step toward a society where people are not
judged by the color of their skin, but by
their skills, abilities, character and accomplishments.
I urge you to vote YES on Prop 54.
I am a candidate for Governor
and will be
on the list of replacements for
Governor
Gray Davis if he is recalled.
Here is a brief
sample of some of my views: I
believe a smaller,
more fiscally responsible state
government,
dedicated to our most fundamental
needs serves
the people of California best.
I believe
a strong national defense protects
our freedom
and well-trained police forces
protect our
communities, but ultimately,
each individual
is responsible for their own
protection and
defense. As a strong supporter
of the 2nd
amendment, I feel all law abiding
citizens
have a right to keep and bear
arms and that
the concealed carry laws instituted
in Florida
and Texas in the past decade,
have proven
to reduce crime and make communities
safer,
while gun confiscation policies
in New York
and Australia have resulted in
a significant
and irrefutable increase in violent
crime.
I will work towards the immediate
implementation
of Proposition 227 as it was
written, which
was passed by the California
voters.
I believe in the American family
and that
traditional family values are
the source
of the American Spirit. I am
"pro-choice",
but against late-term (third
trimester) abortions
that are not for a legitimate
medical emergency.
As a retired police officer,
I know there
is waste and abuse in our state
and local
governments and welfare systems.
Too much
of your hard-earned money is
going to support
criminals and people who are
capable of supporting
themselves and as a result, California
has
become the chosen destination
of the homeless
and indigent. A compassionate,
but fiscally
responsible solution must be
realized immediately.
I will solicit the expertise
of efficiency
experts currently working within
the business
community and the educational
system of California's
Universities to propose solutions
to our
monumental deficit and construct
a budget.
There will be unhappy special
interests that
will complain and accuse me of
insensitivity.
Fiscal responsibility is an obvious
and achievable
objective. I believe that it
is the function
of the government to guarantee
equal opportunity.
It's the individual citizen's
responsibility
to use the resources available
to him or
her to provide for their own
well being and
that of their families and communities.
It
is the duty of every citizen
to work hard
towards this goal. It is an honorable
accomplishment
to achieve self-sufficiency.
Unlike other candidates for Governor
that
are beholden to special interests,
I am an
independent voice for the people.
Like most
Californians, I feel our lagging
economy
is holding back our country's
financial recovery
and the "tax-and-spend"
philosophy
of the current administration
is only making
our situation worse. The mismanagement
of
billions of dollars has resulted
in a financial
catastrophe that is impacting
our schools,
our communities, the safety of
our families
and the future of our great state.
Thank you very much for your
support,
Michael J. Wozniak
Candidate for Governor of California
Retired Police Officer
